Add Google Analytics to your WordPress website



Tracking your website has become an important part of any website optimization strategy . If you want to gain more traffic you will need keep track of your traffic. But, the process to add Google Analytics to your site can be a bit complex. and a very few people are familiar with the process. Below i have described the steps to help you add Google Analytics your website, even if it is a WordPress blog! Follow these simple steps.

  • Log in to your Google Analytics account.
  • Go to the ‘Admin’ section.
  • Click on account and select “Create new account.”
  • Fill up all your detail account information related to your website.
  • Once you have finished with the procedures, click on “Get Tracking Id” and a page related to Google Analytics terms and service will pop up. Do accept that and you will get your tracking ID instantly.
  • Now go to your website (or WordPress blog). Go to the Plug-in section and under keyword search  type “Google Analytics”. Download any suitable Google Analytics plugins  plugin that has good rating.
  • On the dashboard, go to the Google Analytics section, and there will be a GA tracking code box. Paste the code that you have received earlier. Just below it, click on the check box that says “Track logged in users” and save the changes.
  • Now, on the Google Analytics page, go to the home section and check your actual Google Analytics page. Click on the “Real time” option and select “Overview” present below that. You are almost done.
To check whether it works or not, go to to your website and surf around by clicking on various menu tabs. Now, move back again to the Google analytic page and voila! You can now see the number of visitors and any recent activity on the real-time basis.
